Edward A. Malone was born and raised in Maywood, Illinois. At an early
age, he became a public speaker, making speeches at church and community
activities and competing in various speakers’ tournaments.
He graduated from the Proviso East High School in Maywood, Illinois
in 1992, finishing 6th in his class.
Mr.
Malone then attended Stanford University in Palo Alto, California,
where he earned a bachelor of arts in political science, and gained
further public speaking, writing, and leadership skills as a senator
in the student government, news editor for the Stanford Review,
and sponsor of various student/faculty forums. Mr. Malone graduated
in 1995 with departmental honors.
Upon
completion of his undergraduate studies, Mr. Malone entered George
Mason University School of Law in Arlington, VA. While in law school,
Mr. Malone participated in several moot court competitions and served
as a fundraiser for scholarships in public interest law. Mr. Malone
graduated and was admitted to the Virginia State Bar and Maryland
State Bar in the autumn of 1999.
As
an attorney and counselor at law, Mr. Malone has tried several cases
primarily in the areas of criminal law, family law, and consumer
law. He has also helped settle long and bitter legal disputes on
behalf of his clients.
During
the past few years, Mr. Malone’s law office has grown gradually
in measured response to the increasing volume and complexity of
his clients’ affairs, developing practices in new areas such
as personal injury, landlord/tenant, religious liberties, entertainment
contracts, and other areas.
Mr.
Malone has been successful in representing his clients because of
his honesty and integrity, passion for studying the law, friendly
and personal approach, and overall commitment to his clients.
Prior
to establishing a private law practice, Mr. Malone was employed
as a law clerk for the public defender services of the District
Columbia as well as Fairfax County and as a research assistant in
administrative law at George Mason University.
Mr.
Malone is active in the community. Mr. Malone is a member of the
Prince George’s Bar Association, Supreme Court Historical
Society, Old Dominion Bar Association, and J. Franklin Bourne Bar
Association. He is a volunteer Mentor with the YMCA’s Caring
Mentors Program, and serves as chairman of the board of directors
of a local church in Washington, DC.
